FINDING CONTENT

Struggling to decide what to play? When you’re doubting what to play, you could inspire yourself by looking at your historical data. We suggest you to use Analytics, Market Share Analysis (MSA) and our new dashboard Performance Insights

  • Analytics can help you to find your own top X titles of a past period and even narrow your results down to one location to find your local top titles for a certain period.
  • MSA could be useful to check what titles were most popular in your domestic market for a period you define.
  • Wanting to know which genres work at which time slots? Or what is your best time to open the cinema? This and more can be answered in the Performance Insights Dashboard.
Analytics can help you find high performing titles…

FORECASTING FILMS

Since you’re probably expecting less people, it could be beneficial to re-forecast upcoming titles. Be sure the forecast is done for the correct (new) release date. Would you like to have your film forecasts automatically adjusted based on actuals? Our feature rolling forecast can do this for you.

SCHEDULING SHOWTIMES

Preparing your showtime schedules? Set your constraints right. This is the moment to reconsider your scheduling constraints. You could consider adjusting the following:

  • Adjust your opening hours in the CI system if your company decided to change them temporarily.
  • Introduce additional cleaning time by adjust cleaning time or walk-in time.
  • If you don’t want to start any show at the same time, you could “enable different start times for sessions” which will give you at least 5 min between each show at a specific location.
  • If you want to make sure no guests are in the foyer at a certain time (eg. you would like to do deep cleaning) you could use the constraint “block film start times“.
  • Are you scheduling in Showtime Manager inside Vista Film Manager? The ruler on the top of the scheduling canvas shows how many shows start at the same time, the ruler at the bottom of the canvas how many shows end at the same time.
